DepEd Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn Sevilla assured that the department’s budget includes the teachers’ salary increase or the 2nd tranche for the ‘Salary Satandardization Law’, these are the things she mentioned in the recent DepEd press briefing.
He added that the Department’s Budget Allocation has increased and this includes the salary increase budget for teachers included in Personal Services with RLIP.
According to Usec. Sevilla, “we will divide our total budget of PHP 605.7 billion. PHP 407 billion here is for our salaries, benefits allowance, all pertaining to employees ’welfare is here in Personal Services with RLIP and we can see that it has increased by 13.54%.”
Usec explained, “because by next year there will be another Salary Increase. This is the 2nd Tranche Standardization Law and we will see the details in the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to release how much it will increase and that has been passed, so we have assurance for our Teachers. ”
