Teachers will receive Laptops with E-Learning Resources under DepEd’s Digital Rise Program
Digital Rise Program is intended to support the Information, Media and Technology Skills that is embedded in our Curriculum.
There are three (3) important areas that the Digital Rise Program will focus on:
- The delivery of ICT subjects designed to build up the competencies of our children. These include productivity tools that are taught as early as Grades 4-6, Basic Programming taught in Grade 7, Multi-Media Skills taught from Grades 8-10, and Vocational courses in ICT. To implement this the Department has been delivering laboratories to schools that would allow teachers to teach Computer Classes.
- The ICT- Assisted Teaching (providing laptops for teachers). Under this program, The Department of Education will install a digital Board or Television in each Classroom and provide all teachers with Laptops that contain e-learning resources that they can use in their classes.
- ICT- Assisted Teaching (providing tablets for students).Under this program, DepEd will provide each learner a tablet or laptop that they will use to access e-learning resources that will be available both online and offline.
This learning transformation of the Department o Education will enhance the 21st Century Skill of Learners, and bridge the digital divide, most especially in the Last Mile Schools.
