SALARY INCREASE | Simula Enero 2018, itataas na ang sahod ng mga sundalo, pulis at iba pang uniform personnel

MANILA, Philippines – Pasado na House Committee on Appropriations ang House Joint Resolution No. 18 para sa dagdag sahod ng mga sundalo, pulis at iba pang uniformed personnel.

Ang House Resolution No. 18 ay sponsored ni House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas at Minority Leader Danilo Suarez. Kasama na rin dito House Joint Resolution na isinulong ng ilan pang mambabatas.

Ayon kay Rep. Karlo Nograles, Chairman ng Appropriations Committee, sa susunod ay isasalang na ito sa plenaryo. Wala naman daw siyang nakikitang problema dito sa nasabing resolusyon.

“Tapos na sa committee, then from the committee, it will referred to plenary. Wala naman akong nakikita ng magiging problema sa plenaryo dahil lalong-lalo na ito ay sponsored [by] Speaker Alvarez. Pati na ang Majority at Minority leaders suportado ito. Sa Senado [naman], inaasahan na ma-approve,” sabi ni Nograles.

Inaasahang bago magbreak ang Kamara sa Disyembre 13 ay maaaprubahan na ito para sa Enero 2018 ay masimulan na ang dagdag sahod ng mga sundalo, pulis at iba pang uniformed personnel.

Ang hirit naman ni Rep. France Castro ng Teachers Party-list, sana raw ay isabay na rin ang dagdag sahod ng mga civilian personnel na nasa gobyerno.

“Sa sibilyan naman, alam natin ang pagmamalasakit ng Presidente at kongreso para sa civilian personnel sa gobyerno. Inuna [lang] natin ang uniformed personnel. [Susunod naman na] pag-uusapan natin ang civilian personnel,” sagot ni Nograles sa hirit ni Castro.

Ang pagkukunan daw ng pondo sa dagdag na sahod para sa mga pulis, sundalo at uniformed personnel ay mangagaling sa miscellaneous at personnel benefit funds.

Nagpahayag naman ng lubos na pasasalamat ang pamunuan ng Department of National Defense, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police at iba pang uniformed personnel sa ayuda ng Kamara.

Bukod daw sa pagpapataas ng morale ng mga pulis at militar, magkakaroon din daw sila ng disenteng pamumuhay para na rin sa kanilang pamilya.

“Those reso bills clearly are an indication of how the people appreciate the efforts of AFP in terms of being able to fulfil its mandate. [The] support you are giving will definitely go a long way in boosting not only the Morale of our troops but also in making sure that they have decent living and they are able to sustained not only themselves but their families,” sabi ni AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Guerrero.
