The Department of Education DepEd had just release the New School Calendar for the School Year 2020-2021.
Classes in public schools will be opening on October 5 and closing on June 16, 2021, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).
The DepEd made these clarifications on Monday, after it announced last week that it would be moving the originally scheduled opening of classes on August 24 to October 5.
School year 2020-2021 consists of 200 days, the minimum duration required by law, DepEd said during an online briefing.
Christmas break for the school year will be from December 20 to January 3.
